Monday 18 June 2007 - Sherborne In Bloom Timetable
Hi gang,

We have now been informed that the judges will be visiting Sherborne on 17 July, which enables us (at last!) to plan our schedule.

So, here's the outline timetable for our Sherborne In Bloom project:

Date Event
Fri 29 June Mounts available from Sherborne Photographic
Thu 12 July Each photographer to have completed 30 mounted prints ready for exhibition
Sun 15 July Erection of screens and start of staging exhibition
Tue 17 July Sherborne In Bloom judging and exhibition opens
Sat 21 July Exhibition to close 2:00pm.

There are some details to be filled in which we can discuss when we meet.  In particular, this timetable clashes with the Somerton Arts Festival where many of us will be exhibiting our photos, so we will need to arrange some smart footwork to make sure that we can cover both events simultaneously

In the meantime, please keep me informed of your progress. As agreed, everyone has to produce 30 mounted prints (which you decide for yourself) so please tell me when you have completed your quota. More important, please give me early warning if you are not able to produce your 30 and I can get someone else to go round your area and make up the number.

I don't actually need to see all your photos, but if you want to send me any to put on this blog I will be happy to do so.

Next meeting: Thursday 21 June, 10:30am Cheap Street Church Hall (next to former Methodist church)

See ya!

g.

Sherborne In Bloom Growing For Gold Competition

About This Blog
Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club are supporting 'Sherborne In Bloom 2007', our town's entry in this year's prestigous Britain In Bloom competition.

Members of the club will be roaming the town taking photographs of the gardens, containers, shops, pubs, restaurants, allotments, open spaces, private spaces - in fact, anywhere where they can find spectacular blooms!

The photographic entries will be displayed in the town in judging week (mid July).

This blog is primarily for the photographers to keep in touch with one another and to monitor progress as we shoot the town's flowers!
