Sherborne Castle, home to Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618 (beheaded)), a favourite of Elizabeth I and one of the founders of modern America

Private Paradise

It's amazing what's there round the back of house! Here's one of Ted's shots of an entry by an obviously bird-loving gardener:

Great shot, Ted.

A reminder to all photographers

Don't forget to keep a record of the address of the garden you photograph. When you mount your photos ready for the exhibition I will provide a sticky label to go on the back so that we can catalogue all entries and the judges will know who has won prizes. I'll ask you for a list of the photos you will be exhibiting in the week before the exhibition.

We still don't know exact dates but we are assuming week beginning 15 July.

Keep 'em coming - and email me what you'd like me to show on this blog.

Sherborne In Bloom Growing For Gold Competition

About This Blog
Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club are supporting 'Sherborne In Bloom 2007', our town's entry in this year's prestigous Britain In Bloom competition.

Members of the club will be roaming the town taking photographs of the gardens, containers, shops, pubs, restaurants, allotments, open spaces, private spaces - in fact, anywhere where they can find spectacular blooms!

The photographic entries will be displayed in the town in judging week (mid July).

This blog is primarily for the photographers to keep in touch with one another and to monitor progress as we shoot the town's flowers!
