Sherborne Castle, home to Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618 (beheaded)), a favourite of Elizabeth I and one of the founders of modern America

Friday 15 June 2007 - More Blooms
Hi gang,

Norman and Ted have been busy and the photos are flowing in! Norman's are the first to be processed from film.

Sherborne Photographic have developed the films and scanned the images on to disc, from where I have saved a few to go into our Image Gallery. Norman can now browse his photos on CD and choose what he wants to print.

Here's one example of Norman's work:

To see more, look over to the right under 'Menu' and click on 'My Image Gallery'. This will show the opening image. Click on that and you'll see a slide show.

Just to remind you, we have been told by Caz that she doesn't want us to photograph the 'adopt-a-plot-' sites or any municipal properties.  She may include one or two in her portfolio but she is going to tell us specifically what she wants for that. We just have to concentrate on private houses and businesses.

We are meeting again on Tuesday evening 26 June at 7:45pm for 8:00pm, Bradfor Abbas Village Hall.

As yet, we still don't know when the judging date is.

That's it for today. Keep in touch,

g.

Sherborne In Bloom Growing For Gold Competition

About This Blog
Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club are supporting 'Sherborne In Bloom 2007', our town's entry in this year's prestigous Britain In Bloom competition.

Members of the club will be roaming the town taking photographs of the gardens, containers, shops, pubs, restaurants, allotments, open spaces, private spaces - in fact, anywhere where they can find spectacular blooms!

The photographic entries will be displayed in the town in judging week (mid July).

This blog is primarily for the photographers to keep in touch with one another and to monitor progress as we shoot the town's flowers!
