Sherborne Castle, home to Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618 (beheaded)), a favourite of Elizabeth I and one of the founders of modern America

Tuesday 5 June 2007 - Here Comes Summer
The sun's been shining, the blooms are blooming and the entries are plopping in to Keith for the gardens competition.

So, we're on our way! If you haven't yet started, what's stopping you?

If you have started, have you any images that we can post to this blog? I thought it might be a nice idea to show some examples of work in progress so that the world can see Sherborne in bloom.

If you can, please email me any images you would like to see displayed and I will showcase them here.

And don't forget, we are meeting Wednesday (6 June) evening, 7:45pm for 8:00pm, at Bradford Abbas Village Hall. There's a lot to report, so don't miss it.

Let's go!

Sherborne In Bloom Growing For Gold Competition

About This Blog
Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club are supporting 'Sherborne In Bloom 2007', our town's entry in this year's prestigous Britain In Bloom competition.

Members of the club will be roaming the town taking photographs of the gardens, containers, shops, pubs, restaurants, allotments, open spaces, private spaces - in fact, anywhere where they can find spectacular blooms!

The photographic entries will be displayed in the town in judging week (mid July).

This blog is primarily for the photographers to keep in touch with one another and to monitor progress as we shoot the town's flowers!
